4/1. 1st Meeting of the Inter-institutional Working Group on Gender Statistics and Indicators (IWG), 26 January 2009
The 1st Meeting of the IWG was held on January 26, 2009, at MoLSAEO to collect gender statistics and define gender-sensitive indicators. Attending the meeting were 23 officials, representing the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities (MoLSAEO), the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES), the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection (MoAFCP), the Ministry of Health (MoH), the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), the Institute of Public Health (IPH), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), etc. The meeting was opened by Mrs. Zaçe, Deputy Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities (MoLSAEO) and Chairperson of the Inter-institutional Working Group. |

May 26th, 2009 – the DPEO and the ADRF launch the study “Disabled women: included or forgotten?" |

On May 26th 2009, the DPEO in cooperation with ADRF, launched the study entitled:
“Disabled women: included or forgotten?”. This study was supported by USAID and was based on the interviews of the main actors involved in the drafting, implementation and monitoring of policies regarding disabled women at both central and local levels. An important component of this study was the interviews conducted with NGOs representing disabled women. |
