In the framework of the joint programme of UN Agencies in Albania and MoLSAEO (‘One UN’) on gender equality and in support of the implementation of the National Strategy on Gender Equality and Domestic Violence, DPEO/MoLSAEO, in conjunction with UNIFEM, organised on January 09, 2009, in Tirana a one-day training On Piloting the Training Manual on Law No. 9970 ‘On Gender Equality in Society’ (GEL).
Attending the training session were the representatives of central institutions, as well as the contact points of the line ministries and the municipality.
The objective of the training was to pilot the Training Manual on GEL, which is to be used in the future for conducting a number of training sessions with the personnel of the responsible state institutions on the obligations arising from the law, to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the law’s requirements to their work. Participants in the training made suggestions and proposals to be taken into account by the working group responsible for drafting the manual. |
